An STD is an abbreviation for the phrase Sexually Transmitted Disease. STD's are infections
that are caused by sexual transmissions by sexual contact. Sexual contact so there is no
mistaking what that term means includes, vaginal intercourse, oral and anal sex. There is a
difference between an STD and a STI which is a Sexually Transmitted Infection. These can
be passed through IV drug use, childbirth or even breast feeding. An STI is an infection
that occurs from a germ, virus, bacteria or even parasite . These infections may not give the
body an symptoms that the bacteria or other cause is hurting the body. The STD means the
infection is causing the person who is carrying the infection to feel sick ort feel not like
themselves. In layman?s terms an STD is an infection that cause a person to become sick.
There are some infections that some say can be transmitted through spit is less common
that you think. What is more common is passing a STI or STD through the genital fluid that
passes through oral sex. That is not to mean and some people forget that you can actually
contract an STI through touch. For examples, Herpes Simplex and HPV are prime examples.
For gay men the KSHV is usually passed through deep kissing but it is more commonly
transferred by using the salvia as a sexual lubricant.
There are no vaccinations that stop STD?s and the only way to prevent them is not to have
sex with multiple partners. If you have been in a monogamous relationship you have a very
low chance of ever getting an STI or an STD. But there are blood transfusion and needles
that may give the disease a chance. But all blood that is donated these days are tested and it
is least likely to transmit any thing from a transfusion.
If you find yourself one of eth unlucky ones to have an STD there is help. There are
antibiotics and topical creams. There are 2 main types of STD's the bacterial and the viral,
the bacterial infections can cause Crotchrot, Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. The viral
infections are Hepatitis B, Herpes Simplex, Human Papillomavirus and AIDS. There are
Parasite infections such as Scabies and Pubic Lice.
