What is a career?

A career is employment that follows a specific pattern or a progression if you will. For example, nursing is a career and a cashier in a fast food place is a job. Most high school guidance counselors try to guide their students into careers. There are a lot of students who graduate high school and try college but they don't like it or they feel they don't fit in. So these are the students who end up in jobs that don't go anywhere.

Careers are the best thing to have there are promotions to be had and raises to be given. There are benefits to having a career, Police, Firemen, Doctors and Teachers love helping people , they get fulfillment from their careers. There is no law that says that you have to stay in the same career your whole life. If you are a nurse and would like to become a medical doctor you can go back top school and become a doctor. If you are a security guard and like law enforcement then you can take the police test.

In middle schools, school give their students Career Assessments tests to try to determine early on what students want to do after they graduate. Some students find theses tests helpful it actually guides them to study harder and get better grades. Some graduates employ the services of a life coach. A life coach helps guide people in their paths to a better future.

For some people when they start out a career they may not like it and then they switch careers and will continue to do this until they find something they are satisfied with. There are workshops for people who do not know what kind of career they are going to choose. There are also career staff places all over the place that will help you find the perfect career.

Find a career that you want to invest your time in. get all the information about the career you want to try. If there is any school required, look into it what it is going to take for you to get started.
