A volunteer is someone who offers to help another person or entity without
getting paid for their time or labor. Being a volunteer is a purely selfless
act. It shows what kind of person you are to do something without wanting something
in return. There are volunteers in many aspects like Candy Striping in the Hospital
or Habitat for Humanity or the Red Cross. If you are not the volunteering type
you may want to know what would make a person want to volunteer. There are many
reasons why someone would offer their time.
Some people who have benefited in the past from an organization such as the
Red Cross perhaps they were hurricane victims , they may want to volunteer because
they want to give back to the people who had helped them. Some religious organizations
hold fund raisers or collect cans for the homeless and some people feel that
it is there religious duty top help the community.

hands and they want something constructive to do. Then there are others who
volunteer in order to meet other people. Some organizations offer to pay the
volunteer's gas to come out and help. But the whole point if volunteering
is to help without getting paid, otherwise it would be called a job.

on the crime, which is usually shoplifting or some other misdemeanor will get
assigned to community service, this is what we call Mandatory Volunteering.

after school .

hospitals, museums, Red Cross, Online Volunteers who offer to moderate websites
