Yes and no. Water can only help a lawn when it is brown but when you over water your lawn the lawn may end up with very shallow roots, making the lawn thinner. A good way to test your lawn to find out when it should be watered is to simply walk across the lawn, if you leave foot prints then it is time to water. The best time to water is either before 8 am and after 6pm for 30 minutes.

How do I get my lawn analyzed?

You can call a lawn service who offers lawn analysis or you can bring a piece of the lawn to a garden center in your area and have them test it.
