How to save money in a restaurant

restaurant

Everyone likes to eat out every once in a while. But even when you are on a tight budget you can still have a great meal in a nice restaurant. We can show to you tips on eating out in fast food and in a dining restaurant.

Buy combos

When you are eating fast food , one sure way to save money is to buy combos instead of individual menu items. When you buy a combo you get a better deal than pricing everything separately. If you are eating with the family, the same applies. Most fast food places also offer $ 1.00 menus, try ordering from there, it will save you lots of money even if you are eating with a family of 4.

Use coupons and gift cards

If you see a coupon for your favorite restaurant in Sunday's paper take it with you next time you go out. Every little bit helps when you are dining out. If someone gives you a gift card, don't hold on it until you want a great meal, use it next time you go. Gift cards are usually given so that the person who gets it does not have to lay out any money.

Order wisely

If you are eating out with the family and everyone wants an appetizer, see if they have a combination platter that has something for everyone. You will save money only buying one appetizer rather than 2 or 3. Some restaurants offer free bread and salad with their dinners. Also, if you have kids have them order from the kids menu. That is why restaurants have them, they are smaller portions and there are more kid friendly meals.

Leave out the Alcohol

Alcohol can run up your dinner bill. Drink water, ice tea or drink soda, most restaurants offer free refills.

Eat early

Some restaurants offer cheaper prices if you eat before 6 pm. Take the family for an early dinner or a late lunch, you will save a couple of dollars on each entr'e.

You can eat out for a reasonable price. You don't always have to spend a lot of money to enjoy a good meal.
