Rochester may not seem like the kind of city where there is much to do but there actually is plenty to do. If you want something fun to do with the Kids, Rochester offers some great zoos, the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm has sheep, Llamas, goats and mini horses. There is also a section where you can adopt a cat or a dog while you are there. Or you can go to the Seneca park Zoo, they are a bigger zoo with over 300 animals including tigers, wolves, kangaroos. They even have a display where you can see sea lions, penguins and polar bears underwater.

There are many parks and trails if hiking is more your cup of tea. You can try the Rochester Waterways: The Erie Canal of the Genesee River and High Falls. You can visit the 40 foot high stone lighthouse in Rochester it is the Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse. If you are into adult fun, try Casa Larga which is a real true blue winery where you can see wine being made. You can also take your kids to see Susan B Anthony House also in Rochester.

If you are looking for some more history, you can take a look into where Jell-O was originally made or you can take a tour through the mansion of George Eastman's home the founder of Kodak. If it is art you want to see, Rochester has some great art museums like the Memorial Art Gallery or the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
