Disney Cruises have become one of the most popular cruise lines in the United
States. There are two ships the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder. The Disney
Magic began making the cruising rounds in 1998 and the Wonder followed in 1999.
The Disney Magic has the capacity to hold 875 staterooms and can hold 83,000
tons, it is 964 feet long and has 11 decks. It can hold 2,400 passengers and
945 crew members. The Magic has undergone some enhancements, the Vista Spa and
Salon received an additional 1700 square feet and has three new spa treatment
rooms, 2 conference rooms were turned into children's play area.
The Wonder houses 874 staterooms, it can hold 2,400 passengers and 945 crew
members. It is 964 feet in length and can hold 83,000 tons. The Wonder has a
new toddler pool as well as a new LCD Screen TV that is located in the Goofy
Pool Area. There is an adults only pool and a Vista Spa. There are two more
ships being built and will be unveiled in 2011 and 2012.
There is so much for the kids to do on the Disney cruise ships, the Oceaneer's
Club located on both ships have a play area that is a Peter Pan theme. There
are climbing area, story time, computers and a dress up area for kids with big
imaginations. There ate great restaurants, though the style of dining rotates
with each night there is something for everyone. There are Parrot Cay, Lumiere's,
Palo, Animator's Palate and other great cafes to eat in.
The Disney Cruise Lines offer many different cruises the long term cruise as
well as the short term. These ships offer cruises to the Bahamas, Panama Canal,
Mexican Riviera and the Mediterranean. There are 3, 4, 7, 10, 11 and 15 day
cruises. There are Live shows, Disney Characters your kids can meet, Nightclubs
and Lounges for the adults and even movies.
There are 8 different types of rooms that the Disney Cruise Lines Offer, there
are Suites, Deluxe Family Staterooms with Verandah, Deluxe Staterooms with Verandah,
Deluxe Staterooms with Navigator's Verandah, Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms,
Deluxe Inside Staterooms and the Standard Inside Staterooms.
